  : Your instructions to get there need to be changed - there is another Anchor in Thornbury, the one you list is in Overbury. We are not the first to have had this problem!

  : We liked everything about this little place - its location in a small unspoilt village, its ambience and the standard of service and facilities. It's relatively easy to get to from the motorway and is close to Bristol. An evening walk from the pub door alongside the river is a pleasant experience and an opportunity to work up an appetite for the excellent food on offer.
  : Nothing really. It wasn't explained on our arrival that breakfast would be provided in our room which might have saved us some embarrassment but that's a minor observation and possibly we could have made a more thorough exploration of our room first!

  : Pub was ok, food good
  : The room was above some kind of pump house , the noise was a horrible low frequency drone that went on all night. I told the bar staff about the noise and was told it was probably the kitchen fans which would stop at 20.30, but it went on all night. It was unbearable even with good earplugs. I called the contact numbers but no answer, left a message and still no response.I would advise booking elsewhere. I stay in a lot of places and this os not fit for purpose.

  : A traditional country pub in a beautiful location.Great meal in the bar area.The room was clean and comfortable.Breakfast was provided in the room which had a fridge, kettle and toaster. Lots of breakfast choice such as lovely homemade granola, yoghurts, juice, fresh milk etc.
