  : The hotel's location is fantastic, situated right in front of the iconic Porta Nigra and within walking distance to the center of Trier. This makes it an ideal spot for exploring the city's historic landmarks and attractions.
  : Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel did not live up to the standards I expect from a Mercure hotel. There were several issues that significantly impacted my stay:Soundproofing: The rooms lacked adequate soundproofing, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep due to the noise from other guests and outside.Service: The check-in and check-out processes were extremely slow, and the staff were not only inefficient but also quite rude. This lack of professionalism was disappointing.Ambiance: The overall decor and ambiance of the hotel felt very outdated. It desperately needs a modern touch to bring it up to par with other hotels in the Mercure chain.Amenities: The restaurant and bar were not open during the day, limiting dining options within the hotel. Additionally, the breakfast offered was overpriced and of poor quality, which was very disappointing.Facilities: The elevator was frequently slow and busy, causing inconvenient waits. There were also no slippers provided in the room, which is a basic amenity I expected.Hospitality: Upon arrival, the staff did not take the initiative to welcome me properly. They failed to provide any information about the main attractions in the city or guidance on how to navigate around Trier, which would have been very helpful.Overall, my stay at this hotel fell short in many areas. The location is excellent, but the service, facilities, and overall experience need significant improvement to meet the standards expected from a Mercure hotel.

  : Perfect location vis-a-vis Porta Negra and walking distance to the main street and lots of possibilities for sight seeing. Much traffic in the morning.
  : Rooms were ok, but small. Noisy (traffic) just outside the window.
