  : We were told that building is 100 years old and it is full of character and quirky charm. We booked a room with a balcony and sea view which was spectacular. From June to Sept 8 there is a boat that runs from just outside the hotel into Trieste which was 8 euros return. And also near the hotel are two good places to eat. In addition the grounds of the Castle Miramare are lass than a 5 minute walk, free to get in ( pay for entrance to the castle), beautiful and have a cafe. The staff do not speak much English but I had enough Italian to make myself understood and the staff were friendly.

  : Location was wonderful. Breakfast was prepackaged rather than fresh. A slight disappointment but the coffee was great.
  : Had to ask for toilet paper. No trash Can available in the room.

  : After a long trip we wanted to stay close to the Miramare Castle, the hotel location is optimal for this. The view of the sea and the port from the room was fabulous. Breakfast was good, the hotel staff was kind and helpful. We had an unusual experience with this hotel but altogether it was nice and good. If you come by car, parking is not easy during daytime due to the near beach parking.
  : I would say many things is in used condition, but this is what gives an unique atmosphere to this place. The port is quite noise during the night, but altogether it was fun.

  : This is a unique hotel with a lot of character, I like this (but others may not). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, even with my limited Italian. Location is fantastic and the rooms are clean and fairly well kept (even if a bit quirky). Breakfast is simple but appreciated.
  : I could see not having air conditioning might be a detractor during a heat wave / summer. Some small maintenance would have made the room more comfortable (sink faucet was a bit loose, no trash can), but in general, I love staying here.
