  : Riegergut is in a stunning location and is a wonderful place to relax and do some walking. The apartment was large and well equipped, and with a balcony catching the morning sun where breakfast was always taken. This is a farming area with woodland and alpine meadows, and breathtaking mountain views. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, and this is a place that I know I will go back to in the future. There is a restaurant 300m away offering excellent Austrian food, whilst 7km away is Unken with a supermarket for supplies.

  : A very quiet place away from the tourist buzz. The apartment is just right for a 3-membered family. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped. The bathroom is above-standard with underfloor heating. Beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Ideal for summer holidays and alpine hiking. In winter, you must have snow chains and know how to install them. We experienced 40-50 cm of fresh snow during 3 days! The asphalt road (almost horizontal, no steep parts) leading from Unken is very well maintained and snow is cleared twice a day. The slopes in Lofer and Waidring are 14 km and 21 km away, respectively, and and skiing there is ideal for families with children and average skiers who are looking for comfort rather than big sports. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The lady of the house speaks very good English.
