Villa Aimée - Vals les Bains

Villa Aimée is a 19th-century mansion located in the thermal town of Vals-les-Bains just a few minutes’ walk from the thermal baths. It has an outdoor pool with panoramic views. Set in grounds of 3500m2 the Villa offers rooms and suites with extensive views of the surrounding valley. The uniquely decorated rooms all have a private bathroom and all have free WiFi access.

Villa Aimée provides a daily breakfast of homemade and local produce. In fine weather it is served in the garden underneath the century-old chestnut tree overlooking Vals-les-Bains. Guests have free use of the outdoor swimming pool table tennis and badminton facilities. The Villa can also arrange beauty treatments and massages at the nearby thermal spa.

Montelimar TGV high-speed train station is 37 km away and free on-site parking is available for guests exploring the Ardeche region by car.

: Such a characterful, quirky, beautiful villa with a lovely swimming pool. Very friendly, relaxed host and ideal location just a few minutes walk to all the hustle and bustle of the little town but still peaceful and with great views. Rooms were huge, beds very comfortable.
: We missed in the description that there was no shower in one of the rooms (we had 2 x studios and one had a shower so we just used that). Also only one of the rooms had AC despite the description, although with a fan it was not desperately needed, even in July.

: I stayed at the charming Villa Aime for one night in November. Leila is a perfect host and the evening meal I had was beautifully presented and very tasty. The room was cosy and beautifully decorated. It also had wonderful views over the town of Vals-Les-Bains, particularly as the leaves were changing colour! The bathroom was great too, with a jacuzzi bath and was a perfect way to unwind and relax. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and included traditional croissants, local and organic produce. A particular favourite of mine was the Crme de Marron (an Ardche speciality). The location was also perfect, as it was only a 50 minute drive away from the tourist sites I visited (Grotte Chauvet 2 and Pont d'Arc). I plan to return in the spring/summer season when the thermal baths will be open.
: My stay was in November, which is the off-season for the thermal baths. A lot of the shops were closed or had varying opening times. This meant that the town seemed very quiet and didn't have a lot going on. But this is understandable for this time of year, and is probably not the case in spring/summer.
