  : The breakfast was plentiful, but not varied. Every day the same: eggs, eggs and eggs... some cheese some ham some fruits but every day the same.
  : The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was cleaned up every day, they changed the towels every second day. Too many mosquitos during the night no nets on the windows, we had to buy a repellent.

  : Beautiful location- well established- relaxed and efficient staff.
  : For some reason they had the music in the bar blaring very loud every night. The bar / restaurant area was usually empty so this made no sense. It was so loud I had to close my windows (like, inside a nightclub loud) it was the one unpleasant thing in an otherwise pleasant two nights.

  : The staff at Matilda Hotel is exceptional and very hard-working. They made us feel very comfortable during our stay. We were even treated a dinner on the hotel with traditional and delicious meals, free desserts and additional perks during our stay. The hotel has a private garden with olive trees, vines, beach, apricot, lime trees, where we had a very nice evening walk. Our stay was during the end of the season, so we had the hotel almost to ourselves, which really contributed to our rest and relaxation. The room we were given had an amazing sea view and we had a little terrace where we were able to enjoy it with a drink! We liked the fact that Matilda Hotel preserves elements of old architecture and renovates only what needs attention. Matilda's rooms are very charming and you will notice that the doors and door knobs, some of the furniture, the windows are preserved and as good as new. We appreciated this sustainability approach very much! The hotel is tidy and clean. It has a free parking outside, there is a supermarket nearby (approx. 1km away), there are several very good beaches around.
  : Just a few tips on improvement - the air conditioning was almost working and the Wifi connection in our room was not stable.

  : The best thing about this hotel is people who runs it. All staff been extremely helpful and nice.
  : If you dont have a car, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Very nice beach is kilometer away, but to reach it you need to walk down the road with no sidewalk. We also think they could improve their breakfast game a bit. We were struggling to find what to eat.

  : Staff were incredibly accommodating. Extremely friendly too. They even found some jewelry left behind accidentally by one of us and promptly called us to return it. The place was also very good. We had rented a car so it was easier to go around everywhere with it from the hotel. All the good beaches are also close by.

  : The staff was very friendly. The facilities outside are very pretty and well taken care of on a daily basis. There is a very nice view, fine pool and pool bar and very good a la carte food served over there (at the pool bar). The bed was very comfortable.
  : If the hotel rated themselves as a 3 star hotel with exceptional outside facilities, I think no one would be able to be disappointed. However, presenting themselves as a 4 star hotel, the place unfortunately doesn't meet the expectations at all. Overall, it seems that you can't complain, everything you might need is there available for you, but there are those little details that count (very much), that make your stay less comfortable or pleasant. Some of them other commenters already mentioned; like the shower, which is very small (an old bathtub in which you can hardly stand). On top of that due to the condition of the shower head holder, the shower head was falling on our heads. Another little detail was the drinks selection at the breakfast. Artificial juices and water from a big container that had a strange taste. We wish the hotel realised that investing in those little details would elevate their standard greatly. Of course, you could get much higher quality of beverages at the pool bar at an extra charge, but this is not the point.
