  : We have just spent 3 nights at Hotel San Marco. Location - Great location. We walked everywhere. We got the 199 airlink bus from the airport to the station then it is about 25mins walk to the hotel, 30 mins to the Arena, 40 mins To Erbo Square. The routes are safe and interesting. There are buses if you prefer not to walk. Room - The twin room we had was fine size wise, simply decorated and had the necessities. The bathroom was nice, great fluffy towels and toilettries. Breakfast - Great breakfast selection. Everything you could want and more. 7-10am so a nice long window. Would give breakfast full stars. Wifi - Great in our room. Pool - We liked having the outdoor pool for a quick dip after a day sightseeing.
  : Noise- Despite being in a quiet street it was SO noisy. Our room was in the glass part of the hotel and the noise from outside (with the windows shut and blinds all closed) was really awful. Bar directly over the road, buses, 5am deliveries to the hotel that took 30mins of crashing about and shouting, cars with music blaring parked outside, screeching children. Take your earplugs. Beds- too firm for my preference Kettle - No tea / coffee making facilities in the room was a real downside for me. TV - Huge tv but only 4 or 5 channels tuned in that was all. Plugs- No plug socket near the bed. Only one empty one in the room. Ok for a few nights but not ideal. We were pretty delayed in arriving and asked reception staff for directions to get something to eat shop or takeaway (10pm ish) we were told there was nothing nearby and given a map and directed to an area 15 mins ish walk from the hotel... actually if you go out of the hotel, turn left onto Via San Marco literally a few doors down is a really decent pizza, kebab takeaway open until 4am...walk another 3 mins down the road and there is another takeaway. Reception staff need to know the local area a little better. Luckily we stumbled across these before walking 15mins further away! I think it needs to be made clearer that you have to pay for the indoor pool on booking. We didn't want to use it, I think it may even have been shut for the summer season but we were not aware before booking that it was 30euros+ per person, per visit to use. There is no restaurant / food at the hotel except breakfast - not an issue for us but as there aren't really any eat in places nearby the hotel it could be important for some.

  : The hotel was spotlessly clean and reception/bar area attractive. The staff were all very polite and friendly particularly the young man with curly hair and glasses ( sorry I can't remember his name). The rooms were also a good size. Buffet breakfast was very good with a huge choice.
  : Beds !! Didn't get 1 good nights sleep as the mattresses were like concrete ! I know this is personal choice but I feel like any accommodation should have a mixture or just go down the middle and have a medium mattress.Air con wasn't particularly good in the room and there was nowhere to hang your coats which when they are wet is not ideal. Plenty of room to put a few coat hooks. No mirror in bedroom despite being plenty of space. Tea and coffee facilities would have been good to. Overall I would definitely only rate room as 3 star.We were very surprised for the size of the hotel that the restaurant only catered for breakfast considering there's nothing is close vicinity for a proper meal. We also wanted to use the indoor pool but this was 35 euros for 2 hours !!!! I know it included sauna, hot tub and steam room but really all we wanted was a swim ! Overall conclusion, very clean, good size rooms, very good breakfast and lovely staff but very lacking in room facilities . Definitely not 4 star. Saying all this we still had a wonderful holiday in Verona despite lack of sleep !

  : Outdoor swimming pool is really small. Shower in the room rather small. Roller blinders hafly broken. Hotel is in sagnificant distance from the city center.
