Avis Guesthouse

Very Good

: Good location facing small shaded park. Several restaurants nearby. Two minute walk to Aviz gate and large, free, dirt parking area just outside the gate.Inside old city walls, but out of the main tourist area so quieter. Seven rooms total, one floor up from street level so only one set of stairs to climb. Shared kitchen area with sink, microwave, big fridge, dishes, toaster, kettle. We had room #5 which looked out over quiet side street. This is a simple place, nothing fancy.
: Lack of places to put or hang things in the bathroom. No places to put your bags except the floor.Large skeleton key for the front door hard to fit in my pocket.

: Great location next to a small park and inside the old city walls. Free parking was just outside the wall. The room was basic, but clean and the there was a community kitchen and living room with a large TV.
: The water was warm in the shower, but the shower pan was very shallow and water spilled on the bathroom floor. It was best to turn the water off while you soaped up. The steps from the entrance to the first floor where the rooms are located are quite steep and may be difficult to negotiate with a heavy suitcase. The mattress was quite hard and the pillows were not particularly soft.

: The location was great, quite and in walking distance from the center. Everything was clean. The guesthouse was cheap.
: The smell from the bathroom, and a shower that you need to hold in your hand. Not really equipped kitchen (no wine glasses). You could hear the neighbors very good.
