  : Loved the gift bag full of lovely goodies. Beds comfortable. Central location to amenities.
  : Photos portrayed property bigger than what it was. Stairs quite treacherous, twisted my knee on the 1st night. Mis-communication by one of their staff members which landed up in altercation and her slamming 2 doors on her way out. Then received an email by their customer relations personnel not bothering to find out both sides of the story. Portraying me to be un co-operative which I am not. I had just finished a 36hr travel from Australia and was resting up with a twisted knee when this all took place! Shower also very slippery, mentioned it on day 3 to staff however no resolution so bought own shower non slip mat. Table in kitchen was not really big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids to sit at and eat together..

  : The location is fantastic. Right in the heart of everything that lovely Whitby has to offer. Cottage is well furnished and stocked with all you need in the kitchen and throughout.
  : The single beds are very uncomfortable for adults .. children probably be fine. Stairs are quite a challenge for elders.. my parents are great on their legs but almost crawled up the stairs on hands and knees each night. Handrail to assist on the wallside would be much safer option. Fridge did not work well ..if you actually want to buy plenty of food to keep chilled that is it was often warm as door doesnt seal.properly. i reported it ..they sent someone out ..with NO resolution.. it simply needs to be replaced to refrigerate food safely.

  : The property was cosy and comfortable, with exceptions (see below). Everything needed was included. We liked the location as it was easy to return to the cottage from central Whitby. Access to the abbey was good and views from the top of the street were superb.
  : The cottage overall is in need of some TLC. Front door code plate rusty and needs regular maintenance. Parking - even dropping off or collection - is a contentious issue. Indoors the double bed was uncomfortable, the quilt and sheets too big and bulky.The lining paper in the bathroom is lifting and the shower tiles need de-moulding or replacing. The toilet roll holder was broken. The stairs are difficult and great care is needed by all ages. The kitchen table had only 2 chairs for a 4 person cottage.

  : The home was cosy and well equipped.
  : The shower tray did not drain easily so the shower had to be switched off after every minute to let the water drain away before it could be resumed. A simple shower took forever . Decor was a bit tired. One loo roll for 3 people for 4 days poor .
