Yosemite Woods Upper- Inside Yosemite National Park

  : It was a decent little cabin, no problem with the neighbor, pretty quiet and peaceful Good little kitchen We had deer walking by. It was not to far from the Yosemite valley area. Decent WiFi and TV dish was good.
  : I’m sure it stays cold there’s most of the time but when we were there the temperatures were in the 90s to a 100. Even with the windows open when you go to bed the temperature would be around 80+ in the the cabin and it wouldn’t cool down enough to sleep until about 4 or 5 in the morning, ceiling fans just circulate the hot air inside the cabin. A simple box fan in the windows would have been great. Having the pilot light on the heaters didn’t help the heat wave in the cabin either.I don’t think the bathtub was cleaned because from the beginning it kept stopping up, I had to pull out a big hair ball out of the drain, after that it drained fine. Taking out the trash is not easy, the place you have to take it is mile away at another address. The instructions say there’s a combination lock but there’s a key, so which is it, when I took it the dumpster it was full.The 76 narrow steps were a little much

  : The bathtub did not drain; we tried calling, texting, emailing, etc. but nobody ever responded to us or sent anyone to fix it. The toilet seat was also messed up (the lid doesn't stay up so you have to hold it up the entire time you're using the bathroom). The wifi password provided was also wrong in most places (the capitalization was wrong so it took a long time to figure out). There's also no place to put your trash nearby; the instructions make you go an entire 1.5 miles to where the trash can be thrown out. All the other places next to us has places to put their trash right outside (but all require a key, and the key for this property can only be used at a trash bin 1.5 miles away). Management was also just very unresponsive - they tell you to call, text or email them with any issues but they do not pick up any calls or reply to any texts or emails once they've charged you and gotten your money. There's also no air conditioning and it was 100 degrees all week while we were there, and in fact there were heaters in the bedroom and living room that for some reason could not be turned off which only made the room even hotter.

  : Good location in the park, mostly quiet.
  : I was shocked to see there are 80 stairs from the parking to the front door. Although there are photos of stairs in the listing, they are associated with table/Bbq area. No disclosure that one must carry all their belongings down 62 steps then up 18. Lighting at night was terrible, sensor lights were blocked by my shadow and lights on poles didn't work. My headlamp is the only reason I navigated the stairs in the dark without breaking a leg or ankle. Walls/floor are thin could hear everything from other unit. Switch for fan in Livingroom didn't turn on or off, control was from short chains up high in vaulted ceiling. One needs to climb on a chair to use. Wifi code was mistyped the info I was emailed had a lower case letter while the info posted on the wall had the correct info. Kitchen utensils, pans and pyrex were grimy, not thoroughly cleaned of old food. Large square plates didn't do well in the microwave, minor inconvenience to switch off turntable but inconvenient nonetheless. Only 2 mugs and bowl which was fine for me traveling alone but the studio is advertised for 4 people. Bathroom and bedroom appeared clean, bed and sofa in Livingroom were comfortable. TV stand was obviously not dusted, side table was grimy. Frame with info was broken. Just seemed no one cared to make it nice.

  : Location was great 20 minutes to tunnel view! Had almost everything we needed!
  : 76 stairs from parking spot to front door! Stairway would barely fit a suitcase down them due to snow on each side and the handrail leaning so much into the stairway! When you are staying for 5 days during the winter that makes for a lot of trips up and down the stairs! Only left us two bath towels for the week! Had to haul your own trash a 10 minute drive down the road to a dumpster and go back and drop off the key at the house so it’s not like you could do it in your way out, because you have to go back and drop the key off at the house again!

  : They provided several pots and pans along with kitchenware, however we brought our own kitchen set to use. They had a blu ray player.
  : Upon arriving to the property there were shards of glass scattered on the parking spaces provided which we ended up taking care of before parking our car and several wasps inside the property, which we were able to safely capture and release back outside. the bed in the bedroom was so uncomfortable my partner and I continuously woke up every 2 hours; we ended up sleeping on the couch pull out bed for the better half of our stay. The heaters in the living room and bedroom would not turnoff. We did not bring any major electronics like our laptops and others of the sort since we would be in the valley for the majority of the day but we wish we had since the WiFi was very slow and would constantly lose connectivity with our phones even after switching from their regular WiFi to their 5G. Since there was no cellular service near the property we depended on the WiFi to be able to call our families to check in since the landline in the property has its service disconnected. We basically could only use the WiFi if we were in the bedroom sitting by the window. If it wasn’t for Yosemite’s park entrance restrictions I.e. needing a day pass (when they are available) or having a lodging reservation inside park grounds to be able to enter and stay in the park we would have stayed elsewhere outside the park and made better use of of the almost $1.4k we spent here on just 4 nights.

  : Great location, well equipped, comfortable beds. Great water pressure for nice hot showers; short drive to Yosemite Valley and surroundings.
  : The unit was very dirty upon arrival - blankets smelled like dogs, lots of hair in the bed, dining table had not even been wiped and there was food on the floor under the table. The manager‘s response was disappointing: while he did apologize, he brushed it off as ‘mistakes happen’, which is unacceptable when being charged such a high cleaning fee (which was not refunded). This is not in our view an appropriate response to have at any time but especially during this pandemic. With that said, he arranged for a cleaning crew to come by to address the above. While this gesture was appreciated and the right thing to do, it wasn’t really good enough. He also didn’t reply to a question we had regarding the use of the charcoal grill.
