  : We had an unfortunate experience with the property owner. First of all, the property owner only accepts wire transfers for payment and no credit cards, which is something written in the fine print but easily missed given Booking.com still requires your credit card information for the reservation. Secondly, I followed the owners instructions for payment by the letter, but there were processing fees applied on the receivers side and the property owner demanded that I pay the fees when I arrived claiming without proof that my bank was the culprit. I validated with my bank that no fees were being applied on my side and showed the owner all the proof, including proof that the full amount requested for the booking had been transferred. The owner would have nothing of it and asked Booking.com to charge me the fees on my credit card. Given that I made the full payment on my side and that I followed the payment instructions from the owner by the letter, I found this to be unreasonable. Speaking with customer service from Booking.com is like talking to empty space. I explained the issue in its entirety, shared all the evidence, and yet their solution is to take the issue up with the property owner - someone who is unwilling to listen or compromise. Lastly - the propertys photos are quite misleading, giving the impression that there are 2 bathrooms when there is only one.
