  : The property was very close to the Stephens Auditorium where we were attending an event all weekend.
  : We had an issue with finding the location of the key cafe upon arrival. I called the customer service line, only to get a voice mail. I left a message requesting help. Never did I receive a call back from anyone. Luckily, I found a random person at the apartment complex who was able to guide me. The room itself was fairly clean. The only disappointments were1) There was no microwave. Such a cheap and convenient item, but this is not offered in the room. 2)Also, there is a Roku tv, but when you click on an app to watch or try to log in (Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime were the ones we tried) it would kick you out, back to the Home Screen. Thankfully, we brought our own devices for evening entertainment.The building is disgusting. Smelled awful in the hallways, and also a faint smell of weed (even though they claim it is a smoke free building). There were tenants that live below us, who would have their windows wide open at night, sitting in plain view in their underwear. I was traveling with my teen daughter and felt very uncomfortable. The walls and windows are extremely thin, so we heard our neighbors very clearly, as well as any noise outside. Upon leaving on our last morning, several beer cans and small liquor bottles were on the ground next to my vehicles tires. Luckily, I found no damage to my car.We usually come to Ames twice a year for dance competitions, but we will surely never stay here again.
