  : We arrived in Arcachon on a sunny day so that my daughter could prepare for a course exam at the University of Bordeaux. The choice of hotel was because it is on the coast and has a great view from the room. The small balcony allows you to admire both the beautiful sunset and the seafront. But you should note that this view is only available for the upper floors. On the ground floor, there is a large terrace, but the sea view is impossible because of the roof of the neighboring building. Another thing to consider is the possible presence of drunk and shouting people on the coast at night, because of which we had to close the balcony door. Pleasantly surprised that this hotel has existed since 1860 and this gives it a special charm. The room was very comfortable, clean, typically French with minimal space.
  : When I was booking a room, I took into account the fact that the hotel provides room service. We clarified this fact at the check-in and it was confirmed to us. However, when in the morning we asked for this service in the form of a morning French breakfast on our balcony with the sea view, we were refused. On this occasion, we were told that they did not have this service. Disappointed that the service advertised on booking.com is not provided and this is already a deception. When we were paying we were charged an additional amount of more than 37 euros as tax. However, when we checked our bill from booking.com, we found that the amount was much less and included in the payment. The next day we were informed that we had been charged for breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which we had not requested. The amount was refunded.

  : The reception staff were friendly, helpful and efficient
  : On a return road trip from Bath to Lisbon my wife and I stayed in 12 hotels over 15 days. This was the most expensive and easily the least satisfactory. The bedroom was difficult to get into because a triangular wedge of wood had been screwed to the floor to prevent the door crashing into a (free-floating) flimsy sliding door to the minute washroom and shower immediately behind it. The room itself was small and cramped and the loo, when we eventually found it, was located in what at first sight appeared to be a cupboard by the head of the bed. We had to wait (briefly) in a side room for a table to become available for breakfast in the unsatisfactorily small dining area

  : Staff is horrendous. They forced us to upgrade to a bigger room, but without see view, which I had initially booked. In fact that is the very reason I booked this hotel- because of the beachfront and see view. The wi-fi was not working and instead of solving the issue the staff was mocking us by telling that the problem is with our device - iPad. When we showed it does not work on iPhone either they came up with another hilarious story that network has restrictions because we are not from France. First, we are from EU and second all of our devices worked in other accommodations in France. In the end staff was shouting at us and telling that they will put our luggage outside while we eat our dinner. Specially one lady from staff was simply crazy.
