Disappointing

  : This was the most bizarre place to stay. On the positive side, the lady we spoke to on the phone was very friendly and helpful. The building is lovely, old style charm. The breakfast was enjoyed by all in our family. The family room in the attic was spacious and clean.
  : On the negative side, as we were travelling to Bologna, we received notification that, due to problems with the water system in the house, our booking was now moved to a different location. Despite several attempts, I could not get clarification if our reservation would be the same (large room to sleep 4 people). No response. Also, this change put us under pressure as the check in time for the new accommodation was earlier. Next: upon arrival in Bologna, the new accommodation told us that there was, in fact, no reservation or room for us with them. We were alarmed. We contacted Villa Masi by phone, and the lady informed us that in fact we could now stay at Villa Masi. So, we went there. There was nobody there. Phoned again and got details of how to enter the building and access our room key. We were literally the only people in the whole building, the whole time we were there. This resulted in us being the ones to deal with a pizza delivery to the wrong address, and also dealing with a large food delivery of frozen baked goods! We tried again to contact the manager by phone, email, and via the booking.com messaging facility, to no avail. So we did our best to fit all the pastry boxes into the fridge and freezer in the staff kitchen, but there were so many that several boxes did not fit. It was most peculiar to have to deal with these various callers on behalf of the property! This place needs staff, present on site. We again tried to contact them when we needed to check out, but again could not reach anybody by any method. As regards the accommodation itself, the room was generously sized but, as mentioned by other guests, the water system is peculiar. Brown water came through the taps to begin with and any time the toilet, sink or shower were used, there was a ferocious noise in two parts of the bathroom as the tanks refilled, we presume. The electrics were somewhat dodgy (visible wires) and therefore the room would not be suitable for young children.

  : The hotel cancelled the reservation on the day of arrival. Proposed an alternative room which was with shared bathroom and no room for our bicycles, unacceptable for us. It was very difficult to contact the owner to find a better solution. We boojed sonewhere else, searching took an hour and costs us lot more. All in all very poor customer service.

  : No electricity from the 2nd day of my stay onwards, no wifi for the entire stay due to connection issues, bathroom smelled musty, front gate was broken, staff were absent so I had to let another guest in

  : The facility is beautiful, a small building built at the beginning of 20th century. I also like a lot the location. Close to center town but in a very quite area
  : Breakfast was not at the same level we used to have in the past. There were less choices besides the coffee machine was not working and there was no one to fix the problem (or instructions available to fix it by ourselves)
