Disappointing

  : Very clean Breakfast with homemade foods and local produce, the breakfast lady was really lovely
  : Arrived 15 mins before the check in time, the main entrance door was locked. I had to wave for a while to attract anyone's attention. A woman finally opened the door and grumpily pointed at the sign No check in before 3, which is fine, but we had driven for 3.5 hours with a baby and 5y-old and she didn't offer to wait anywhere and didn't recommend anywhere nearby (the hotel is in a slightly weird area, not quite an industrial estate but close). Instead, she shut the door to the reception area, where all seating was, making us feel very unwelcome. I felt like a criminal asking her to use the loo and propping the door open, so my husband and daughter could also go. She also kept telling off my daughter (who is a very well-behaved child) throughout our stay. The hotel is dated, the beds are uncomfortable with a very thin mattress and it's a very small double. The location is not great and even though the cite is within a walkable distance, there is no pavement and not safe for kids.

  : Great, friendly service. Easy parking. Good location - we walked into Carcassone. Lovely breakfast and very chatty staff who were extremely helpful.

  : Very nice personnel, good location in relation to the castle, plenty of parking which also felt safe, no complaints about the room.
  : The immediate vicinity of the hotel is not very walkable (but in fairness, this is not what they can improve). The breakfast was a bit too French for us, could have a few more non-sweet options such as eggs in any form.

  : great location for the airport and also very easy to drive to the castle or the city.
  : code entry to the carpark late was incredibly counter intuitive, I almost gave up but some creative thinking about how and where to enter the code saved the day

  : Had it not been for the pastry chef telling us about the range of delicious hand made biscuits she had made herself for breakfast, the brit hotel would have remained a kind of slightly worn out enigma. Altogether, a fine stop-over close enough to Carcassonnes car park adjacent to the entrance of the 52 towers strong fortress.
  : We kept wondering about the things that might have justified the rate we paid. We settled on being quite close to one of the most visited monuments in France comes at a price
