  : I absolutely adored the style and dcor of Apartments Rue Barbes. The apartment exuded charm and character that immediately captured my heart. The walls adorned with captivating photographs added a unique touch, creating an artistic and cosy atmosphere. the lovely winding staircase, which not only added to the apartment's character but also provided a delightful architectural element. Key is available on ground floor at wine shop. In addition to the lovely snack box provided in teh apartment, the host give me a complimentary bottle of wine, on picking up the key.. A very nice touch. The shutters on the windows were both functional and stylish. They not only shielded the apartment from any unwanted light but also added a touch of elegance to the space. A major plus was the peaceful environment; I experienced no noise issues during my stay, ensuring a tranquil and restful atmosphere. The apartment's comfort level was impressive, even in temperatures ranging from 26 to 30 degrees Celsius. Towards the end of my stay, when the heat became more intense, I appreciated the air conditioning unit in the bedroom, which provided a welcome respite from the rising temperatures. The shower was excellent, plenty of hot water and the bed linen and towels (of which many were provided) were of a very high quality. I also utilized the wooden shutters on a few scorching days to keep the heat at bay. Once you got the hang of them, these shutters proved to be both functional and charming. Lastly, the apartment's location couldn't have been better. Being a mere 50 yards from the picturesque Place Carnot allowed for easy access to charming cafes, delectable restaurants, and a selection of inviting bars.
  : While my stay at Apartments Rue Barbes was overall delightful, I feel it's essential to provide a comprehensive evaluation, including some minor issues. These observations are meant to offer a complete picture of my experience. One of the minor inconveniences I encountered was the front door lock, which proved a bit fiddly to operate. However, I must commend Barnaby, the host, for promptly addressing this issue. Upon handing over the keys, he took the time to explain the intricacies of opening the door, even demonstrating the process. His assistance was greatly appreciated. Another minor concern pertains to the bedroom's layout. The presence of a queen-sized bed, while very comfortable, resulted in a somewhat cramped space between the bed and the wall. In terms of width, a double bed would likely optimize the room's layout, creating a more spacious and comfortable environment. These observations, though minor, are shared in the spirit of providing a comprehensive review. They in no way diminish the overall positive experience. Just a note of caution, if one has mobility or health problems, the stairs could be challenging, as there is no lift.
