ESJ Azul 1660 - Ocean Front & Pool

  : ESJ is not what it used to be, Pool closed which was unfortunate, had to pay for beach chairs and umbrellas, the least they could have done for their guests since pool was closed. Overall , host was very on point with any requests! He did his best to meet our expectations but some things are just out of ones control. we stayed in 1660, I could not wait to return to my bed!!! Also, a chair in room to relax in would have been helpful, just bc there are 2 beds, doesn't mean you want to lay in it to watch TV. Plenty of towels available in room. If you need washer/dryer you have to go downstairs to do your laundry. Pueblo (supermarket) very close, as well as a few restaurants. Uber easy to get in this area too. Great beach as well, especially when its clean !!!!! Watch your stuff though, don't leave your valuables on the beach if you want to see them again, just like any other place. The host Uben was really cool, easy to reach and talk to.
  : Beds were too firm for our liking, a mattress pad or topper may have made them a little more comfortable. The bedskirts appeared quite weathered and old, as well as the utensils. No dishwasher, so we had to wash all of dishes we were planning on using, just wound up buying paper products, it was easier. Microwave and stove came in handy, coffeemaker a litttle annoying until you get the hang of it , but it worked. an extra set of sheets would have been nice too,.

  : The best part of this property was the proximity to the beach.
  : The property was very close to the airport so there was a lot of noise. The pool was closed apparently due to covid restrictions however other hotels and resorts in the area had their pools open. The room was nice but very basic and the air conditioner never seemed to be able to cool or dehumidify the room adequately. We missed the beach gate locking one night by 5 minutes and had to walk like 2-3 blocks down alleys just to get back to the property.
