  : Parking garage gate was very finicky, breakfast service ran out of plates or silverware often. Air conditioning in our room wasn't very cool.

  : The beds were dated and flat. Very uncomfortable. Property did not have the use of a credit card machine, so you had to pay a fee to use the ATM or pay a fee to charge to room. Prices for beverages were outrageous. No running water on noght 1. No toilet paper in room, had to wait 7 hours for housekeeping. They charge for a view but no view of harbor due to window coverings. Room smelled of sweaty shoes, Had to request housekeeping to refresh. Key cards kept not working. This resulted in us having to go back and forth to the front desk on numerous occasions. Tape on wall to cover holes from light switches. Room 304. Furniture very dated and rough.

  : Putting in requests for towels everyday and having to wait forever for them to bring them to our room. Also, on check out day, the housekeeper was knocking on our door at 9am. She actually came in our room right after she knocked. Like why? Checkout wasn't until 11. There was no reason for her to have came in our room while we were there. We couldn't enjoy the bar because of drunk "politicians" there being loud and obnoxious. The lady never checked us is properly when we did check in so therefore the keys she give us to our room deactivated. I know this because Danielle, the front desk clerk, told me. When we got our keys, we had all our stuff and went to our room only to find that the housekeeper was just starting to clean it and it was already after 5pm at that time. We left to get food and give her time to clean only to realize that she never refilled the shampoo, conditioner, or the lotion bottles. Parking, checking in, everything about the whole stay was just a hassle. We will stay elsewhere on our next trip to Charleston.

  : It is in a beautiful location close to area shops and attractions. The staff was all very pleasant and accommodating, especially the ladies at the front desk. My family all highly enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. It was excellent, and I will consider Embassy Suites in the future for our travel needs. Being able to access a hot breakfast at the hotel that was included in our stay made it easier to get out and about in the mornings.
  : The cost of parking is excessive for a hotel guest at $30.00 per day. This is not a downtown property, so I didn't understand the additional parking charge. The parking garage reader also had trouble reading our hotel key, which made exiting a little difficult. Luckily, there was a feature to buzz the front desk, who would promptly let you through. The room was comfortable but perhaps a little on the smaller side for a suite.

  : About an hour before arriving, we were notified that our Room was not available due to repairs. This is after driving 12 hours . To the credit of the guest services representative, he worked diligently to find accommodations at the Doubletree Hotel. After several days of haggling with the bill, our bill was cut in half .
