  : Rooms were plainly furnished but had everything we needed. Took a while to work out the heating in the room. Staff very friendly. Great cooked breakfast. Good value
  : Continental breakfast items very limited, fruit bowl needed attention to remove bananas well past their best. But thats a small gripe about an otherwise very nice stay.

  : Breakfasts were superb, the evening meals similarly more than generous. The kitchen staff appreciated the little praise I could offer them. The room was clean, neat and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. What was not to like?
  : Perhaps in the evening offer a senior citizen slightly smaller portion, rather like the Canadians do. It might bring in the 'grey pound'.

  : I have paid different prices from 79 to 110 it seems a bit random with pricing, Im obviously happier with 79. But its a great place & look forward to my stays there, thanks guys

  : Friendly bar staff, good dinner menu, enjoyed our meals. Loads of drinks and biscuits in the rooms!
  : The bike shed is not really secure (garden shed with padlock on simple hinge; could easily be accessed through the hedge from the main road and forced open). The pub is located right on the relatively new King Alfred's Way cycle route so will be getting more and more cyclists, so a secure lock-up would be a good investment. There was a miscommunication re: breakfast so instead of eating at 08:00 we weren't served until 08:45, which was too late for us, with a long day of cycling ahead. The breakfast lady did her very best, but we'd have wanted to eat as per the time we had booked.

  : We stayed as an over stop whilst cycling the king Alfred Way as the pub is right on the route. The room was comfortable and clean and the food was good and we were able to leave our bikes in their secure cycle store.

  : I booked it for my family and anoither couple. They were very complementary of the place and well pleased. They especially appreciated the friendlness and helpfulness of the staff. (You were a hit Sharon!). The breakfast was great! As I live in Liss, it was very convenient for me to be with them and pick them up for outings. I will recommend the Jolly Drover....
