Wonderful

  : The owner upgraded us to the bridal suite free of charge, due to their sister hotel not being available for dinner, which worked perfectly for us. Hotel was cosy and dinner was lovely.
  : There was nothing we didn't like in particular :)

Disappointing

  : Situated in own grounds and convenient access.
  : Room was too hot. Sound proofing between adjoining bathrooms was non existent. No chef on duty night of my stay so no dinner. Luckily I had enjoyed a late lunch elsewhere but otherwise it would have been a major disappointment.

  : The location is brilliant. Just off the motorway and very easy to find.
  : Our bedroom was tired and needed maintenance. Bed squeaked has if someone had been jumping on it and broken it. Very uncomfortable. Sink in the bathroom very slow to drain. Water in bath was brown for at least ten minutes before it ran clear and very slow to drain. Window opened onto a wall that was about a foot away, so all you could see was a brick wall. Staff, you felt you were bothering them to matter what they were doing. Breakfast buffet was partially empty, had to go to kitchen to ask for food. As we entered the restaurant for breakfast, and was told where to sit, another guest at the hotel said shes a bit rude, referring to the member of staff. The other function rooms looked good and well laid out.

  : Small, comfortable hotel, with amazing veiws over the Scottish Country side, the staff were warm and welcoming and the food was excellent. The beds were comfy and the facilities were clean.
  : The room was tired, and dark due to the dark furniure, the fire alam went off twice in the late evening which ment we had dress but iwas turned off before got to our room door, otherwise the stay was as we expected.

  : Location was great we were on route between Gloucestershire and the Isle of Skye. A perfect stop over.
  : Waiting staff were over worked and struggled with their work load.

  : Staff attitude (rude and we were made to feel an inconvenience), lack of essential facilities (we booked an accessibility room for my 91 year old mother but the wardrobe was of no use to her as she couldn't reach the hangers and the bedside light switches were too high for her to reach without getting out of bed!) poor evening meal options.
