  : Downtown location near Castle, etc. Some staff was helpful and friendly but, some were not. Breakfast food was tasty and plentiful.
  : Difficult to load and unload luggage. Wife is disabled and we had to navigate several sets of steps, even on the final floor where we stayed. We had to walk through space where cleaning crew and personnel worked. Parking was not available and we had to park in another hotel parking lot 5 blocks away. Information on where parking was actually located would have been helpful (i.e. address, cross street, etc.),.

  : It is a very cool/stylish youthful place. Inside dining area was stylish and welcoming, outdoor bar area/beer garden was gorgeous and sunny, wish I could’ve spent time out there. Our room was amazing! It had an old school ‘table’ arcade video game with Pac-Man, donkey Kong, frogger etc, a huge tv with a video console (didn’t play that), a gorgeous ‘smeg’ mini fridge, nice big shower (great shower) and BIG soft towels, really nice. I didn’t sleep that well though, it was noisy outside and bed might have been firm?Staff were very friendly and helpful - really welcoming.
  : Breakfast was the biggest let down - it wasn’t served until 8 am (on a Monday!) which I think is late, there weren’t many plates available to use so some people had to wait to get there food, there was no coffee for a long time and hot weather for tea was in a previously used coffee urn, the ‘hot food’ was a small little buffet area… I don’t think it’s worth it unless you’re in a hurry/don’t have time to get breakfast elsewhere but you need breakfast for a busy day.

  : The location was good for walking to the castle and Royal Mile and the staff were friendly. Our room was a good size and was clean. The included breakfast was okay.
  : First, I have to say that our timing was off - we hadn’t realized that the Taylor Swift concert was happening during our stay in Edinburgh. Although we booked several months in advance, options were limited and prices were very high. Having said that, the approximately CAD$700 a night for our room was far too much for the quality of the hotel, even with the Swift effect. The room was a good size, but not particularly comfortable. The in-room safe did not work, and the grout in the shower area was decidedly grubby even though the rest was clean. Our room looked out on to a yard area full of rubbish skips - apart from the unpleasant view, there was also a lot of noise late at night (1:00 - 2:00 AM) when staff were throwing rubbish in the bins.
