JS Portocolom Suites

Very Good

: Being so central to the harbour and the beach was really great. The pool area is fantastic and having a play area was great for our little boy who loved it.
: We were half board and didnt feel the food was great for us personally and struggled for breakfast with our little boy other than toast and pancakes.

: Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and cozy. Pool area was not overcrowded so we always had sunbeds available. There is also a nice play area for the kids. Dinner options were also changing each day and food quality was quite good. Gluten free options were available for breakfast upon request. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.
: Only hotel that we have been in where half board stay did not include complementary table water for dinner, you had to pay for bottled water each time. Also size of the rooms for family/junior suites is quite small, we barely had walking space if all beds for kids are pulled out. And the breakfast was the same everyday with very limited options.

: Hotel was excellent but the hot food was very poor most tasted good but was cold every day and they had very strange combinations of foods especially at breakfast .

: Loved everything about hotel the room was very good had everything you needed all the staff were very nice friendly and helpful and everywhere was very clean there was work going on in the hotel but it did not impact on our stay at all.
: The cold food was lovely but the hot food was either cold or just warm and it was a shame because some of it had a lovely flavour but also there was some very strange combinations of food for breakfast for example corn on the cob, onion rings we were told it was what was left over from dinner the night before and Im sorry but you expect better for breakfast in a four star hotel

Very Poor

: For the price I paid, this hotel was awful. The staff was not helpful, the room was a handicap room and the shower flooded the whole bathroom. Awful experience.

: The view if you pay for the sea view room...
: My original room was on the first floor which means at the ground level and facing to the street! You have there absolutely no privacy and they should not offer any of this kinda room! I had to pay an extra fee to change the room with a sea view. The hotel is located in front of a bunch of bars - super noisy the whole day! Food quality was not high as I expected from the 4star hotel.,, Definitely better to have dinner in the restaurant, would be cheaper and nicer! I asked the staff 3 times to turn on the air conditioner in the gym, but it never happened...

  : very accommodating
  : Breakfast

Disappointing
Traveller Type: Family with Young Children
: Recently renovated, visually appealing interiorLarge pool and plenty sun bedsParking right by the hotel
: No warm water on most days after 4pm (no remedy provided by the hotel)Rooms not cleaned thoroughly (floor full of sand right after cleaning)Some of the waiters downright rude (shouting at a kid, making faces)Selection and quality of food very poor (e.g. you can find better quality pastry at Lidl)Coffee machines broken every other day (all of them at the same time, hence no coffee in the morning)Unnecessarily annoying approach to providing basic amenities considering its a 4-star hotel (27 EUR per week charge for the use of the room safe, 8 EUR deposit + 5 EUR charge for a kettle that guests need to fetch themselves from reception)Absolutely horrendous baby cot. Ive never seen such a bad quality mattress. I would certainly not give it to my dog, let alone to my child. To be fair a kind cleaning lady went to the trouble of digging up a better one from somewhere after complaining repeatedly.Lack of English speaking staff. Approximately half of the service staff we came across didnt understand basic English.

Wonderful

: The staff is really friendly, hotel is clean, nice and good for children. The playground and pools are amazing.
: The toilet is quite small, that's not a problem at all, but right next to the toilet, in the height you're supposed to sit, there is toilet paper holder which makes it very uncomfortable. Bigger people will have to sit rotated.
