  : This hotel is very well located - 10 minute walk from the bars/restaurants in Harrogate. The building itself is very impressive and huge inside, including our room which was very spacious (both the bedroom & bathroom). The decor in the rooms was nice and modern & the beds were very comfortable. We had an iron/ironing board/hairdryer/fan/robes provided in the room and the usual toiletries which was nice as we didn't have to bother reception asking for these things. The free spa access included in the room was also a gratefully received addition, as were the warm cookies on arrival!
  : The room was exceptionally warm as there was no air conditioning - there was a fan but it wasn't sufficient unfortunately, likely because of how large the room was. We probably could have asked for an extra fan but I'm not even sure it would have made a huge amount of difference and we got back so late we just wanted to go to sleep. It's also worth noting that it was not a particularly hot day, so I'd dread to think what it would be like in a heatwave as we genuinely struggled to sleep it was that hot in the room. I think charging £15 a day for parking is a little excessive, particularly when the cost of the room itself was quite steep (£224 for one night, no breakfast), and a large section of the car park is blocked off because there is work underway, this meant that there was not enough bays and there were a number of cars (ours included) that had to park on the hatched lines or at the side of the 'road' that runs through the car park, being charged £15 for the privilege feels a little excessive. Be aware that, if you want to use the free spa access, you need to do this before you check out - we checked out with plans to go and use the spa before heading home and it wasn't until this was done we were told it needed to be whilst checked in. Thankfully, after a bit of back and forth between the spa/reception we were able to be checked back in so that we could still use the spa as planned, but worth noting if you want to visit on the day of check out, make sure you do it before you check out.

  : Car park was ridiculous to get a space. And changed at £15 per night. Pillows had no substance to them. Sink would not drain in the bathroom.2 men knocking on the room door at 2am .
