  : The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable.
  : I guess unfortunate timing meant that there were some works happening outside my window which were a bit loud. I couldnt quite figure out how the shower worked but the bath tub worked just fine so had a bath instead

  : Cosy small clean double room, with tea, coffee and TV. Excellent shower. Good food for dinner with attentive staff and a lovely breakfast. Dining room with well-spaced tables, and real open fire. Plenty of parking.
  : On arrival, no-one in Reception, we had to find him in the bar. A bit abrupt, no real welcome, but we were told he was the only staff on duty!! On leaving, no staff to be seen!!

  : The bed was comfortable, the room was quite large. The woman who served breakfast in the morning was very nice and welcoming. It is quite easy to get to attractions from here.
  : Our welcome was very lacking. We got in around 7 or 8pm and the guy at reception didn't explain anything to us, such as when they locked the doors at night, why I had 3 keys etc. I also never got a response to the message I sent when I booked the room. I has requested gluten free options for breakfast (which isn't hard to provide). I mentioned this to the guy at reception and he replied with "I can ask but we're closing in 4 days so I can't guarantee anything" - since I'm paying the same as someone 3 months prior I should be getting the same service as them. Basically, he just couldn't be bothered. The restaurant was basic. Only gf options on the menu were a 30 steak or an 8 starter. The waiter didn't even try to help me make something edible from what they had. He just grunted "goats cheese" and pointed at the menu. So I had a pitiful dinner of a small round of cheese and a handful of lettuce.There's a lot of moisture issues in the building, you could smell it. Our room didn't have enough ventilation so when the 2 of us took showers, the whole room was misty even with the window open for a few hours. You could see it is an issue since there is mould around the lamp shades and curtains and the ceiling is starting to fall down. It seemed like it has potential but all the changes that have/are being done are the cheapest possible. The walls are a bit thin so we could hear the activities of our neighbours. Breakfast was also a bit disappointing. No flavour to the food at all. My husband summarised our visit as "we won't be going back to that place."

  : It was very quaint and the rooms were comfortable.
  : The man on reception didnt have the best customer service skills! I had booked 2 rooms (a double and a twin). On check-in I questioned that we had been given two double rooms and was told it was my fault and my mistake! We were given the rooms we had asked for but I checked my booking again and i had indeed booked a double and a twin. At dinner he refused to give us extra sauce, all-round not impressed at his attitude.
