  : Picturesque hotel in converted farmhouse and barn with all the amenities and rustic touches of a designer lodge. Most importantly quiet and COZY. It rained for a good portion of our stay but there is so much to do on site, cozy up to the fieldstone fireplace with a glass of wine, go to the board game room for a round of manopoly or to the rec room for billiards and Foosball, also sauna and hottub. The Appalachian trail runs through the property so on the one sunny day we hiked to Thundering Falls, there is also a dock for kayaking and fishing and we did see a gentleman catch a small bass. I suppose the best recommendation is return guests and we met 2 couples who were return visitors. I am sure my husband and I will be as well. Of note the managers and waitstaff, cooks are all related and you can tell they are one big family! Shout out to them for making our stay so lovely
  : Nit picky, rooms could use block out curtains. Some of the amenities mentioned in review are not available on weekdays or off season (signature cocktails on arrival) restaurant was only open Sat of our stay.

  : Breakfast was fine. Food was hot. It was obvious it was off season, and it was appreciated that there was food. The first night (before the eclipse), it was obvious that the staff realized there was going to be a big crowd, because some rooms got a phone call asking if they would be eating dinner at the establishement. My room did not, but friends staying at the hotel did. I'm not sure why.
  : The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Would have appreciated the front desk staff maybe giving a quick explanation of some of the facilities that the lodge had. Every time i started to walk around, I found more to do, which would have been great if I had planned it out, but finding things at the last minute prevented full enjoyment of the lodge.

  : E and Gabby went above and beyond to accommodate me. I love that it’s on the Appalachian Trail. My room was comfortable and clean.
  : It’s odd that you guys don’t check your mailbox everyday. A package for me had been sitting there for over 24 hours by the time I arrived, and it took some time and stress to find it.
