: The location was great and the rooms were clean.
: We checked into our room and stayed one night at the property, on our second night we arrived back at 10pm and found a hand written sign saying that we had been moved to another room. Some of our belongings were placed in a bucket and put on the floor and other personal items had been hung/placed around the room. We quickly realised not everything was there and called the owner. She spoke very limited English so her son was translating and he said that two new guests had checked in and they needed our original room so they moved all of our things. This was all quite distressing and felt like a huge invasion of our privacy, I have stayed in many hotels and never had this happen. The host allowed us to enter our original room to retrieve our bags, passports, car keys and the rest of our items. Luckily nothing had been taken as my partner and I had laptops and jewellery that we thought were safely locked in our room. The host could not see why we were upset about all of our things being handled and became angry at us alongside apologising. We went to bed and left first thing in the morning without breakfast.Horrible end to the stay, I have never felt so violated staying in a hotel. Very unprofessional staff, I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

: Comfortable bed, warm, attractive room and very nice bathroom, with bath and balcony. Friendly host who recommended local restaurant to us.
: On street parking. We did find somewhere luckily. We werent offered extra coffee in the morning and there was no bottled water in the room. Unfortunately Chantal does not speak English but her son was there to help translate.

: Chantal Marie was most accommodating.....we only booked first night and she had no problem with us stayi extra night. Apartment was very quaint and had full kitchen if you were to stay longer. Location was perfect close to everything Chantal prepared wonderful french breakfasts .....we also had 2 nights dinner which we both enjoyed (paid extra...but worth every euro) ....conversation with her and her son David were thought provoking and went well with the red wine :) Lens has a marvellous new museum called the louvre-lens ....we walked to it from our apt. Good place to get shuttle to Vimy!
: The stairs are a challenge narrow and steep for taking suitcases up and down I forgot that the 2nd floor is really the third floor and there is an extra set of stairs in the 2 level apt which was not good for older people navigating up the stairs to relieve themselves in the night! Solved problem by using upstairs bedroom......bingo ...slept well:)
