  : little leak probably shower, little bit of mold near window, rooms needs updating but this didn't stop us staying there.

  : It is an old building, the bathroom could have been cleaner, as I was on the gound floor i could clearly hear the people in the room above which was annoying. The hotel is close to a main road which runs through the town, road noise especially lorries early in the mornings could clearly be heard.

  : The food was ok.
  : We stayed for 1 night on Wednesday 16th August. We regularly travel around the country, staying in hotels, pubs with rooms etc., and can safely say that this was the worst room we have ever stayed in. The room was really drab, dark with a cool, damp feel and was not clen. The furnishings were old and dirty, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom floor was dirty, there was lots of mould in the bathroom, the chair at the dressing table was also dirty and mouldy, the shower would only provide cold water, and the wash hand basin sink blocked and was very slow to drain after filling it with water. This was totally different to the reviews that we read on booking.com at the time of making the booking. Photographs are attached. When we arrived around 5:30pm, after a 4 hour journey, we sat outside in the sunshine having a drink and a meal and went to bed around 9pm, as we had an early start in the morning. We obviously were not aware of the condition of the room and facilities until we retired for the night so were unable to discuss it at the time. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that it is part of the contract that the hotel provides its services with reasonable care and skill. If they do not carry out their part of the deal you are entitled to receive compensation or money off for their failure. On this occasion the contract was for the Belle Vue Hotel to provide/deliver a clean room with an ensuite shower, that delivers hot water. We do not expect to be allocated a dirty, mouldy room with a cold shower. As the hotel declined to provide a refund, we will be pursuing this via the appropriate channels.

  : Jamie was an excellent host and keeps a well appointed Hotel/pub business and is improving it in many ways. Food and beer were good with a friendly atmosphere. This is no top end hotel by any means, but it is great value, clean, comfortable and quiet with a great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again, next time.

  : Always a benefit if you get a chauffuer-driven Bentley from the station, but we didn't come by train and it wasn't a problem!!

  : This is the worst place I have ever paid good money to stay in. We paid in advance and were given room 14 The last time I will ever pay for a room relying on a photo. The room was dark dingy and drab The door was sticking into the room.. you had to shove it to open and you couldnt close the bathroom door The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable The walls were horrible round the window particularly The bathroom had no window and a hole in the wall by the toilet. It was mouldy and unclean The room was down a narrow corridor like going into a dungeon You were just told to find it and the key was in the door.. no wonder. The floors in the carpeted area were grubby and unclean Hard surfaces were sticky obviously needed a clean Chairs in the dining room had holes and rips The outside was really neglected Cigarette buts round the door, weeds growing and dead plants in tubs Peeling paint unformed parking areas for guests The whole place had a general air of neglect.
