: My sense is this property is a second career project for the owners, and reflects high standards while being a work in progress. It is welcome addition to a part of town with many auto body shops and few alternatives for overnight stays. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked well, and there were high-end personal care products and amazingly fluffy towels. It was nice to get a freshly made breakfast. Wi-Fi was free and very fast.
: The building is older and had a roof leak with significant ceiling damage in the restaurant while I was there; the owner considered that no big deal. In my room, there was no desk or chair work area, though there was a large new double-sink vanity in the bed area. Lighting could be improved. The first impression of the room was floors that needed refinishing and walls in need of baseboards. The arrival experience could be improved; there is no signage, only a locked security door where you wait on the street for someone to come meet you.

: Room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Building is old but very well preserved and decorated. Good location!
: Hosts seemed very nice however both check in and check out experiences were worse than expected. For check in we had previously arranged a time as per hosts requests and upon our arrival we had to wait 1 hour until we were able to check in. For check out we were surprised has the downstairs restaurant was closed and no breakfast was available. We understand that street work disrupted the restaurant however as guests we should have been told in advance and alternatives should have been provided as this caused changes to our plans and we couldn’t have waited more. We had to contact Jeff to arrange for a location to drop the keys.

: The hospitality of Jeff and Lauren! Even with all they do, they gave us the time to visit. They also included a welcome drink when we arrived, a breakfast each morning, and a guaranteed parking space outside the building.
: All was good! I would have liked a small table or desk in the room; but I’m sure I would have been welcomed at the restaurant downstairs.

: I had to leave the b&b and sleep on my son’s couch because of a party in the cafe under the rooms. The music could be heard from my son’s house 6 blocks away.

: Great hosts! The ac wasn’t working in my room so they upgraded me to another one. That room was very cool! Breakfast was delicious.
: Just as information for future travelers: they just started Reggae Fridays and it is very loud until midnight. Might now bother some, but some might prefer a more quiet evening.
