  : The guest house proved to be an exceedingly comfortable and immaculate 17th-century building. Within our room, both a shower and a bathtub were available. Alongside these amenities, provisions such as tea, sugar, coffee, and a kettle were also provided. The pub appeared to close at around 22.30 which meant for no noise after this. The management of the pub, overseen by Paul and Stella, was commendable as they ensured my wife and I felt warmly welcomed. Their local insights were invaluable, and they provided a lovely, cooked breakfast every morning. On our first evening we had food at the bar and was very impressed with the quality of the food. Opposite the guest house, there is a nice tranquil river that was great to hear at night and great to sit next to in the day. Numerous walks were accessible from the guest house's vicinity. Moreover, the guest house's secluded location meant there was exceptional stargazing, with the Milky Way's outlines distinctly visible. Weather permitting, I believe there would have been an even better view.
  : While the guesthouse does provide Wi-Fi, regrettably, its performance falls short of excellence. However, it does suffice for basic connectivity needs.

  : The breakfast was really great , very speedy. Lovely staff..very traditional english pub with a beautiful river across the road and excellent walks on your door step. Very peaceful location.
  : The beds in our room lacked comfort..little support which did hamper our sleep. A little dated generally but I'm sure the new owners will address this in time as its a beautiful spot with many things going for it.

  : Friendly managers, cosy and interesting bar/dining area. Comfortable and warm private guest room - ideal for relaxing in the evening with a pint. Food was hearty, delicious and very well cooked, and the local real ales were superb. Location was wonderful - fantastic walks from the front door, up and down the river as well as further afield to the coast. Very peaceful nature-lover location.
