B&B La Corte

Pleasant

: The location in the old town was fantastic. We were near all the tourist attractions, restaurants and bars.
: I didnt realise that the front door of our room would be behind the living room of the host. We had to walk past her watching TV when we came back or left. She spoke very little English so it felt awkward as we couldnt really communicate. She was also a heavy smoker and the smell of the smoke and when she cooked chips came into the room. The owner was there on the day we left but other than that we didnt feel particularly welcome. When we checked in she didnt ask us anything?! We were only given a printed list of restaurants but other than that no local information.

: Really impressed with Matera and La Corte. Breakfast was great overlooking the town, good supermarket in the nearby square, rooms cool despite the heat wave. We parked for free about five mins walk away.

: We loved the novelty of sleeping in a cave room for a couple of nights. The communal terrace area with lovely view over the Sassi was a great alternative to spending time inside the cave.
: No natural light at all - but I guess I should have expected that!

: Perfect location a few meters from Piazza del Sedile where you can be picked up by taxis if needed. Wonderful view from the outside yard.
: It can get a bit humid if everyone has a shower.

: Located within the pedestrian zone, it was right in the heart of things. Marta messaged us ahead of time with suggested parking which was brilliant. We parked in the free car park and it was a 15/20 min walk but this was to be expected due to the amazing location. Our Studio was large, clean and as described. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit, pastries and hot drinks. I would definitely stay here again.
