  : Staff were always friendly helpful and professional..I stayed at the Pure Formosa hotel on the Avenida Da Republica as well as the Cidade de Olhao.The one on the Avenida is closer to all the amenities and the waterfront but the Cidade de Olhao is still very close.There are trips to the islands from the waterfront which makes for a nice day out.
  : I have been coming to Olhao for around the past seven years and have had many visits here, usually in the same hotel the Cidade de Olhao.The staff have always been very friendly and helpful which is the reason why people keep coming back here and Olhao itself is a beautiful and pretty little fishing village with a very long and relaxing boulevard which I love, also many shops in the centre and also by the waterfront with trips to the islands.However on this trip in May this year, 2024, I noticed that even after I had booked my room on booking.com and had said pay at the property that one I got here they wanted my credit card I explained that I only had a debit card as I do not like credit cards and do not use them. Are they explained the reasons for only accepting credit cards which were that if there is any damage being done by customers they can get it back more easily from the company. I said to them, well everyone knows me here as I've be coming here so often, so luckily they made an exception for me and accepted my debit card. I also paid in cash for future reservations. They told me that this ruling had been in place for a while although when I was there a year ago I was never asked for a credit card,neither was I asked in 2020/21 for a credit card. I certainly do not like this policy as I find it very unfriendly to future guests or even current guests who do not possess a credit card, and do not want a credit card and I think it will probably put some people off, especially if they haven't been to this hotel before and do not have a credit card or cash on them !

  : Staff were lovely and location was great. Pool area and breakfast also nice.
  : Noisy room directly on street. Strong smell of mould/mildew in studio room made it hard to sleep. Very small space even though we booked the studio.
