  : Hotel Max Simek reopens after a break. The biggest advantage is the location: about 100-150 m from the Ostrava hlavni railway station. Spacious room. Breakfast included in price
  : The premises look quite run-down - especially the bathroom. Breakfasts are worse then they used to be: rather basic, no open buffet, no good coffee (in the past the chocie was much more broader)

  : Easy to locate, short walk from Ostrava hl.n. with regular train, bus and tram connections. Staff pleasant and easy to check in and out despite language barrier. Huge spacious room with comfortable double bed, large sofa, TV, toiletries, pleasant shower and rustic wood beams giving a quaint, cosy, classic atmosphere. Excellent value for money.
  : As much as I love the 1970s esque architecture and classic interior, there could be a few minor things to improve this hotel. Things such as a fresh lick of paint, a deep clean, and better lighting. The entire hotel including room had a slightly off, though not unpleasant smell. Lots of random furniture placed throughout the hotel. Hotel has no lift, fair enough, didnt state it did have one. Maybe more regular housekeeping too, as the one day they did come, I had overslept and so subsequently they didnt enter, leaving my bins rather full for the whole stay.
