  : On 1/25/23 we booked the family room with balcony that accommodates 6 people ( 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and a balcony/patio area) I told the host that we had 5 people. On 6/4/23 the host texted me saying she needed payment and she sent me pictures of our accommodations. I did not pay attention to the pictures at first then I noticed that the pictures were of the “Family suite” accommodations which are smaller (2 bedrooms, 1 bath and no safe access to the balcony/patio)than what we booked and accommodate 4 people. When I questioned the host about this she said that she called me in January and told me she was totally booked and to stand by for accommodations. This did not happen. I would have booked some place else back in January. Now however, there were no other places available. I went to the location and spoke to the host who said that someone else was in the family room with balcony area. The host then charged me extra for the fifth person, even though the original booking.com ad said the price was for 6 people and she charged me a cleaning fee of $50 which was already included in the original price provided through booking.com.I called booking.com and was told that if I could prove that the host did not provide the accommodations that we booked then I could get a refund. I asked how I would get a refund if I paid the host directly and not booking.com. I was told that booking.com could issue a credit. Well, I sent pictures of us in the smaller accommodations and text messages between the host and myself and my cell phone bill ( itemised calls showing no calls between host and myself) to booking.com. They did nothing but tell me to try and work it out with the host. I contacted the host and asked for a partial refund since we were given the cheaper, smaller accommodations and for the cleaning fee. The host said no.

  : The host was very polite and patient. She gave us excellent accomodations, and recomended good places to visit during the stay.
  : I received emails with conflicting information concerning the payment of the stay which was an error on booking.com's part. The host explained the issue and helped us handle the situation well.

  : So best thing about it was the host, I have a neck desk and she helped with carrying my bags up 3 stairs and upon check out helped carry my bags down at 7am! So she was great.
