  : The architecture was beautiful.
  : We waited for almost 20 min at the front desk until a member of the staff came to assist. To no fault of the staff member, it then took another 10-15 min to check us in because the computer was running slow. That was no problem, however, after we carried our luggage up 3 flights of stairs, we tried to enter our room but our keys were never activated. All in all, by the time we arrived until we got into our room was almost an hour. We stayed in the annex room. I was excited to see a jetted tub and thought that would be a great way to relax after the less than stellar check in process. Come to find out, the drain plug did not work, so no bath. The bed was almost like sleeping on a slab of plywood. The pillows were smaller than standard. The room was very clean, though. We loved looking at the historic features of this property, definitely can look past the long check in, but will likely not stay here again due to the uncomfortable beds and pillows.

  : This was such a unique experience in Shadyside. My husband and I are Pittsburgh locals but stayed here one night. It's walking distance to Walnut Street, and the architecture of the building was so beautiful. The room was spacious and clean & the staff was very friendly!

  : The only thing I can complain is that there is no elevator access to the 3rd floor suite that we stayed at.

  : Love the area, convenient for our plans. Room was very clean and comfortable.
  : Easy to hear the people around you (but I understand it is an old building and that is just what happens!). And the room was a bit warm for sleeping even after turning the air to the lowest it would allow.
