  : Due to a storm, my trip to Westfjord was cancelled as my flight was delayed for 3 days. I didn't get to visit and stay at the hotel. I contacted the property and explained the situation, asking if it is possible to refund the prepaid accommodation. The property told me that the best way is through booking.com. Booking.com has sent them a request and they denied it. I wish that they have a more flexible and understanding policy that has customer-centered perspective. Other properties were more understanding towards the uncontrollable circumstances and waived the fee. And, if the decision is to reject my request to waive the fee, why asked me to go through the trouble of contacting booking.com. They could have been more upfront and honest about their decision instead of asking the customer who is already dealing with the stress of all the rearrangement come with the interruption of the trip. Booking.com contacted the property on my behalf and informed me that they have an inflexible cancellation policy. They should have informed me when I contacted them directly instead of all the extra steps, very inconsiderate operation.
