  : My party of four recently stayed at Agriturismo Il Casolare di Bucciano, near San Gimignano, and our experience was less than satisfactory. While the scenery and their wine production carries the expected dreamy, tuscan charm, the overall experience left much to be desired. However, we have definitely enjoyed the views & the idea of having local accommodation.
  : The rooms were a major letdown. They were small, uncomfortable, and uninviting. Despite the cold weather, we were not provided with extra blankets ( even though or electric heaters, making our stay quite uncomfortable. On one rainy night, we even had to deal with water puddles in our rooms, and when we brought this to the staff's attention, their response was simply acknowledging the known window leakage issue, however they did send someone to wipe the floors later on. The culinary experience was equally disappointing. The breakfast was monotonous, with cold and overcooked eggs and stiff bread. Our dinner was also a letdown; the food lacked the authentic taste we expected from Italian cuisine. The pasta pomodoro e aglio, for example, seemed devoid of garlic, and the tomato sauce appeared to be non-authentic, with added starch for thickness. But what truly stood out was the lack of hospitality from the staff. They often seemed bothered by our requests and questions, which is a far cry from the warm Italian hospitality we had expected. Another aspect to mention is that the housekeeper aimed at cleaning our room each morning at around 9 or 10 AM, knocked briefly, did not wait a few seconds for an answer and just marched in. This has happened every morning. In conclusion, I regret to say that I cannot recommend staying here. The rushed, commercial approach does not align with the genuine spirit of Italian hospitality. While the scenery and the wines are nice, they are not exceptional enough to make up for the overall experience. We had hoped for so much more from this establishment when we think of the price we paid to stay here for 3 nights and it pains me to say that we were left disappointed.

  : Set in a beautiful location with beautiful views of medieval San Gimignano. Even the approach to the property is amazing driving alongside an orchard of olive trees. Its historical setting takes you back centuries

  : Proximity to San Gimignano.The terrace was nicely appointed and was great when having breakfast.
  : The second floor room with a narrow stairway. We simply expected more from a 9.1 rating. The "exceptional", "wonderful", "friendliness", from almost all the other previous reviews escaped us. It was a solid 8 in our estimation.We did not eat there as the dinner price (only served with 5 reservations) was expensive.The breakfast employee was friendly, polite, and attentive; while the proprietess herself simply glared at the breakfast guests; I describe a friendly host otherwise.When we asked about the air conditioning. "Sorry, no, we have turned it off for the season." Windows open meant you had to fight a mosquito plague nightly.

  : Great location with wonderful views over the valley towards San Gimignano. The room was spacious and the breakfast good.
  : We were very disappointed with the reception we got - not hospitable at all. Not a smile or any information about the property or what to do in the area (and that was not just a language issue). It was a shame because the property was in a glorious location.
