  : We loved the view, and the friendly staff. The building has character, and is ideally placed for the town. Lots of restaurants nearby - it pays to check with TripAdvisor.
  : The only problem we found was the nearby La Scala "restaurant" who employed a man who thought he could sing, and confused volume with quality. If you can imagine a hoarse, drunk Rod Stewart impression, you get the idea. This happened every night until midnight, and as good as the double glazing and shutters are, they could not shut out the caterwauling. It is apparently legal, and the hotel was unable to do anything about it. We could not use the balcony in the evening, because we could not hear each other talking. The rooms at the rear of the hotel (without balconies) are quieter. In the UK, the local council would shut it down, but not there apparently. It seems so unfair that the hotel may lose business due to a noisy inconsiderate boor. They certainly don't deserve to. Take earplugs, and you will be ok

  : The only positive was the location and the view from the terrace.
  : After travelling for a while this was our least favourite hotel that we stayed in. In all of our many years of travel I have never come across a hotel that centrally controls the air conditioning. Which means that they control the hours it can be turned on. I woke up every day at 3am dripping in sweat. I was told to open the balcony door to let air in. It did nothing and on top of that the noise from outside was very loud and the mosquitos came inside our room and bit us. This resulted in me not being able to go back to sleep. Very hard to deal with when you are jet lagged and dealing with 30 degree days and we were also celebrating our wedding anniversary. By the end of my stay I felt very run down and tired. On top of this we found the manager Malena to be extremely rude. If good ventilation, aircon and customer service is important to you then I highly dont recommend this place.
