Ansteys Lea

This hotel of great warmth and character is situated between Torquay's town centre and marina and Babbacombe Downs with their magnificent sea views. The hotel derives its name from the enchanting Ansteys Cove Torquay once a smuggler's haven. Ansteys Lea was originally a Victorian gentleman's residence and became a small hotel in 1946.

The building’s traditional Victorian ceiling with cornices and roses are a wonderful architectural feature. The hotel is on the main bus route into Torquay city centre which takes a matter of minutes. Within 10 minutes’ stroll you can be in Torquay's centre enjoying the Edwardian Pavilion the lights and the harbour.
