  : The place inside the host's house. The host agreed to keep our belongings before and after the stay in the room. But he was a bit sour.. and sometimes we felt that we were disturbing him a bit.. a host could be more friendly and welcoming

  : Great place. Host made us feel very welcome. The canal just outside the window was so nice. Close to the river taxi and a nice quiet part of town, but just a short walk to the action.

  : The B&B is in a great location for exploring Venice and getting to the Marco Polo Airport. It is in a non-touristy part of Venice but within easy walk of St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. There are many good places to eat nearby which feel more authentically Venetian than some of the places in the more tourist traps. Venice is a bit more expensive than other places such as Padova and that makes finding good places to eat worth the effort. The B&B itself is tucked away but the instructions help you get there. Our room was on a small canal and it was wonderful to hear the boats go pass our window and the lapping of the water.
  : There was for me a slight sense that this B&B needed a bit of care and attention. We were welcomed kindly and breakfast was very pleasant in the garden. But some plugs didn't work in the room, we had to ask to put the aircon on and the garden felt unloved and the whole place was full of kittens-I was asked to sit on arrival but there was a kitten asleep on the seat. If you are allergic to cats-beware! Being on the canal means there are bound to be mosquitoes in the garden but there didn't seem to be any attempt to dissuade them even with a citronella candle. The shade over the outside table didn't look like it had been cleaned for ages---this just gave a sense of a place that was not really loved. Sad, as a very few changes would make it very special.
