  : right in the middle of everything, but you quickly find out that thats pretty easy in Venice even if you take a wrong turn every time
  : as others have mentioned, it is above a bar, but I do think it was understated in most reviews just how loud it is and late into the night the rowdiness went. expect to hear a lot of noise until at least 2am.additionally despite being billed as having A/C, its important to note that there is no control for this in the apartment (building wide apparently) and it cant be used outside of summer. its late may and between walking all day and overall humidity it made for very uncomfortable sleeping. and if you make the mistake of leaving the windows open, expect to get eaten alive my mosquitos.all that being said not a bad place at all, just could use some quality of life improvements (like standing fans) to help counter the negatives.

  : Great location, spacious apartment, a little noisy with doors/shutters open so very poor air flow. Admittedly we didn't spend alot of time there. Very close to shopping and restaurants.
  : Lift access was two flights of stairs up. Not ideal with big baggage.

  : Easy to arrive by vaporetto (Alilaguna Blue line 1h20min from the airport). Directly to San Marco. 3-4 min straight easy walking. A person was at the street waiting with the keys. An apartment with 2 bedrooms and a living room and a small kitchen and two wc/showers. The only problem was with the luggage when checking out by 11 am. Could have been taken to a private place for some hours but too much walking to there. Luckily there is a Hotel Casanova right opposite to the apartment and one can leave the luggage there by reserving online (usebounce.com). Their (Bounce) net pages tell the address only after booking -- but it is Hotel Casanova.
