  : Location and parking facilities were very good. Interesting property in the older part of Harrogate. Short walk into the centre of town. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, the bedding and towels were clean and of a good quality. Appropriate storage for clothes.Minimum toiletries and drinks provided . One packet of biscuits for two people and no bottled water.Breakfast was very nice, good menu choices, cooked and presented well and served at our table.Pleasant and efficient service, more efficient than friendly.
  : We were met by the cleaner when we arrived. To be fair we were earlier than originally planned, however after ringing the reception bell a number of times the cleaner responded. The available team member was busy at the time of our arrival and there was a lack of visible information to inform us about checking in other than to ring for attendance.There appeared to be a minimum of staff presence during our stay. For those with any physical difficulty there is no lift to rooms. Typically for the age of the building there were steep stairs and long corridors.We would have appreciated more of a genuine friendly interaction with the staff which we have experienced in other small family run hotels, such as reasons for our visit, local interests or places to eat etc.In saying that we had a very pleasant short stay .
