  : I was pleasantly surprised by the Cordis Hotel. The reviews had been mixed. I found the hotel very neat & clean - the rooms, bathrooms & linens. The hotel staff were always pleasant and very helpful.The hotel location is perfect, just off Taksim Square and a short walk to the transport hub of Taksim Metro. There is a pedestrian area close to the hotel with restaurants and smaller eateries. There are mini markets just outside the hotel. I had experience of two rooms at the Cordis Hotel. My room with a balcony was not available when I arrived. The first room ( No 301), on the third floor, was a big room that faced the street. The windows were double glazed and effectively sound proofed the room. The other room (No 402) on the 4th Floor was a tiny room, but had a balcony. The room faced away from the street but was on the ‘ sun side’ & was very hot in the afternoons. There was some floor damage in this room possible due to the fact the balcony door did not close properly & could have let rain in in winter. Both rooms had clean modern bathrooms with good showers & lots of very hot water.There is no lift in the Cordis Hotel, so if you have problems with stairs, a room on the lower levels would be better. The breakfast at the cafe below the hotel was a meager plate of tomato, cucumber, a slice of meat, some cheese, jam & lots of bread. The coffee was very good. The rooms have fridges so I stocked up on yoghurt & fruit from the mini market for my own breakfast. The rooms also have kettles.These rooms are in the ‘more modern’ part of the hotel - the block on the right hand side of the reception.Overall I found the hotel very good value for money, especially for a major city in peak summer season. As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe staying at the Cordis Hotel.

  : The location, but with all the disadvantages its not worth it
  : The room wasn't clean, there was blood stains on the sheet and hair in the bathroom, also we had issues with the toilet flush it stopped working and they don't bring tissues...etc.Also the room was directly next to the reception and we can hear every word being said, even if two people are talking normally we will hear the entire conversation and sometimes it gets sooo loud!Not to mention the room was extremely small and not like what the pictures showed.

  : Breakfast was a dish of cheese, boiled egg, bread, coffee in a restaurant next to the hotel, but part of the facilities. The location is the main attraction. Near the Taksim taxi and metro stations and about a few minutes walk from the Havabus stop from the new airport.
  : The restaurant is modern but has no atmosphere, and is not a buffet breakfast.The room has lots of worn out and wear and tear issues. It needs some maintenance. There is steep stairs to the rooms, which is an issue if your luggage bag is big!

  : - It was really loud outside, although it's not fault of a hotel.- Inner soundproofing was not really good. Outside soundproofing was awesome!- The bedding was torn a bit.

  : There is no escalator, difficult to climb the stairs to upper floors especially for old people and people of special needs. Wi fi is always cut. No buffet breakfast it comes Standard in a plate and no other choice.. if you change you should pay more.. i was really upset and disappointed .....very poor .. no reception lobby..
