  : We booked a city view room and were put in a room on the 2nd floor, where we faced the parking lot across the street. Our room was right outside the elevator and you could hear everything that was going on out in the hallway.

  : I had the worst experience ever at a Hyatt-managed hotel. Here's what happened:Due to a broken computer system, bad management response, and awful service, I was charged my $400 deposit four times accidentally. The reception found the transaction failed on their system. They had already charged me three times, and I asked them to stop and find out the problem. But the receptionist kept pushing the button and charged me a fourth time, knowing it had gone through from my side. They couldn't reverse it because only one transaction showed in their system. The receptionist said it would be resolved in the evening. This was concerning because it was eating into my credit card's limit and affecting my travel plans.In the evening, I found the manager tried to blame me for the problem. She said it would be resolved the next morning. Typically, failed transactions should reverse automatically, unlike this one. The hotel blamed the bank, a widely used US bank, for the issue. My bank said the merchant should reverse it since it was still pending. Clearly, their computer system was at fault.The next morning, they said they would fax a letter to my bank for immediate resolution. However, in the evening, they changed the story, saying it would take 24 hours. After 24 hours, it was still unresolved. They suggested the bank might not act on the fax. They insisted their system showed only one transaction, not acknowledging the computer lag and multiple charges.When I checked out, the computer froze, and the receptionist couldn't print the receipt, further proving their system was broken. Despite pointing out the problem, they remained defensive and blamed the bank. The AM shift receptionist was rude, admitting she saw this issue frequently but cut my words. The manager was unhelpful, making promises they couldn't keep. They relied on their system's incorrect display, refusing to consider a system malfunction.

  : The room was great, beds were narrower than in other hotels but that was expected for a room in NYC. The room was clean and in good shape, the shower was great. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
  : All sounds from the elevator across from our room carried right through the door. With that, and the sirens regularly heard from the street, there weren’t very many quiet hours to the night. Breakfast was served in an adjacent café, which was continuously out of half of the things on their list. Not much to choose from for the breakfast that was included in the booking price. They shouldn’t offer that option if they can’t provide.
