  : Location, size of room, lighting, wifi; cleanliness.
  : There is no on-site breakfast or reception (as there had been when we stayed here in 2018). You can now get breakfast (for another 10 Euro per person per day) but only at another Schroeder's hotel (10 mins away on foot). These are really self-catering apartments and should be re-named/advertised as such. One of our (ground-floor) windows broke on our 2nd day and couldn't be closed; it hadn't been repaired by the time we checked out (and was arguably a security hazard).

  : Clean and relatively modern in a quiet location. Large rooms.
  : Everything gives the feel of an upscale student dorm. There is NO reception. So when checking in you have to call a German number for them to give you a passcode. No reception means no service when you need something urgent. The upper floors of the building are private apartments, probably for students as the university is nearby. Do NOT stay in the summer as there is no a/c! For the price they quote and them trying to put this as an upscale stay, this is totally unacceptable. Room was south facing and super hot. Window would open straight onto street and on ground floor so airing out was not an option. I checked out early as it was unbearable staying with 30+ temperatures outside. Kitchen area very small and basic. Oven but no microwave. Shower was broken but did not even bother to call as there is no reception so would be no quick fix and means calling international numbers (if you'r not from Germany).Would NOT stay here again. Overpriced for what they offer.

  : They charged my credit card twice with no explanation. There is no official reception desk so you can’t see the payment procedure.I only knew that my card had been charged twice, 3 hrs apart, as I receive notifications from my bank for all transactions. This is disgraceful and I ll never recommend this place to anyone.
